Sun = Good

Sun is very important to staying healthy. That is why I decided to take a break from workout and hit the beach today. The sun gives Vitamin D to your body which helps with bone delveopment and absorbtion of other vitamins.
Of course we wear sun screen. Just not a lot because I dont really burn easily. It was nice just to have a day off and still be helping my body! (Not really smoking don't worry)

Eating Healthy

Today I wanted to focus on the importance of eating right:

So I went to lunch today and was like "Can I have a chicken ceaser wrap please? Hold the ceaser." The lady didn't get my joke; so she just gave me my wrap.
Did you know that grilling your chicken as oppose to frying it is healthy for you? I didn't either but I was sitting at lunch with my friends and well we got on the subject of chicken.

I really like soda, but I don't  drink it ever so avoiding the soda dispensers in the caf was an easier choice for me. I had some tea with my chicken on a bun and I actually was still very hungry so I had two cookies with lunch. It was ok because as long as I eat in moderation I can balence myself well.

My workout!

Skullcrushers!

Most people dont know that biceps are only 30% of your arms mass. To get the other 70% you need to workout skull crushers and triceps!

Goal: John Schatz

I want to be able to get as big as this guy: JOHN SCHATZ! mmmmmmmmmmmm yummy.
His abs are good focal point that I want to be able to replicate into my workout results.

HARD DAY!!!!

Today was a crazzzzyyyyy workout day! First of all we needed to warm up our bodies (Me John and Brian) so we started out with squats. No big weights just a plate on each side (45 pounds) and did 10 squats of 2 sets. After that we went to bench press and we did a warm up with that too. We put 1 plate on each side and did 2 sets of 10, nothing major. After this warm up it was time to kill our biceps. Instead of doing the medium reps medium weight, we stepped it up to high high weights and low reps. I started out curling the 70 pound bar 10 times with the outer grip and 10 times with the inner grip. After this I had to let the muscles relax for about 3 minutes. After 3 minutes I grabbed the 80 pound bar and started curling those 10 with the outer grip and could only max out at 4 more curls with the inner grip right after. After this whole workout is done it was stretching and abs time. That was my workout for that day, thanks to Shatz and Brian for the help!

Workout Day 1

Hey guys today was a crazy hard day at the gym. I went with my friend Brian and we both decided to start doing squats, kind of new for us.We put 1 plate on each side (45lbs.) and just did 2 sets of 10 reps. Nothing major, or so we thought. The next day my butt was so sore I couldn't even sit down. After a leg warm up, we started working on our back and wings, kind of hard but nothing major. This is where having a friend who gives massages comes in handy! Always with no matter what workout we do, we do abs. Whether its a few crunches, or something intense. This time me and Brian went pretty crazy. There is a bench you put your feet though and lay down. What we did was one of us were laying down and the other person lifted it up 90 degrees so were completely straight. As if thats not enough, we took at 10 pound medicine ball and started doing crunches and boy was it hard. But always pushing it to the limit, after the crunches, me and Brian moved the ball to our right side from our left and vice versa, to work a little bit for of our side abdominals. Yeah the next day we were both pretty much beat, we did have a good workout though! Thanks guys, until next time!

First Post

Hey guys! Thanks for checking out my first blog! My name is Etai Gil I am 19 years old and I attend Lynn University and I was born and raised in Florida.

My goal is to get fit and stay healthy. I will be going to the gym 3 - 7 times a week and will keep you guys updated on how everything goes! I have started working out when I was in tenth grade, or a sophomore. For most of my workout career I've been doing medium reps and medium weights. However I found out that I was getting bigger, but never really stronger. After some research and help from google, I found out how to get stronger in the gym. To get stronger you need very high weight with low reps. I'm going to give this a shot and keep everyone updated, thanks guys!
